My darling granddaughter. How much I sure love you.
I have a book that is Bible stories for kids and you pick it up quite often. I really don't like to read it to you b/c there are alot of hard to understand stories in the Bible and you are pretty young (5) to understand some of those stories. But, none the less, you wanted me to read and then you asked me if God could see us all the time and just like Santa, he can always see us. Then you asked if God was real and I said oh yes, he is very real. And you asked if Santa was real and if the Easter bunny was real. Of course, I said yes, but did not elaborate. Then you said are they on automatic? Not sure what you were asking, hee hee, but I said yes, b/c I figured better to say yes than get into a big discussion about santa. So, I guess they are all automatic :)
Aunt Staci was feeding Caden after supper and of course you are very intrigued by the process. You always want to watch and ask her questions. So, last night you asked again what she was doing and she told you giving Caden his milk and you wanted to know how that happened and Aunt Staci said you know how a cow has milk? and you said "are you a cow?" Of my gosh, we all cracked up. Sure do love to hear your take on life.
I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around your neck

Opps, my last post should say, "since I am now retired"
When I watched you the last time you wanted to know when I met you and I said from the minute you were born, I was there to meet you and you said, when did I met you then, and I said you saw me from as soon as you were born. You were just a tiny baby :)
Bowen peepeed all over the seat and floor and he told me about it and I thanked him for telling me and you said "why is that important to you?" haha. The things you think about

I forgot to tell you that since I am not retired, I will be watching you and Bowen and Caden one day a week. Your cousin has been watching you and she just got a full time job about 4 weeks ago and she said to you "Are you sad I won't be watching you anymore?" and you said "no, my grammie will be watching me now"!! Wow, take my breath away and melt my heart.

You are going to be a mermaid! You love the water. We were at the lake house this weekend celebrating my retirement and you went kayaking Friday night with me and then Sat morning at 7:30 am your daddy had to take you and you were in your jammies. In the afternoon we were on the boat and it was a very cold day. You feel asleep and when we got back to house you made Aunt Staci take you for another kayak ride. We could tell you didn't feel good, but you still wanted to go and after you got home you had a temp of 101. Poor little thing.
I am always amazed at how girls are so different than boys. You were out to eat with your parents awhile ago and then next morning you told your mommy " last night when you thought I was eating I was watching the girl beside us and she had a pony tail on the side of her head and I would like one like that too"

Hi my love,
Papa did a fish fry the other night for everyone and you were sure interested in the frying of the fish. You really liked it and the next time I saw you you asked me how he made the fish (you have seen him catch fish at the lake house) and then you wanted to know what he did with it after he cleaned and skinned it. Then when you take it out of the freezer, what do you do? I said he fried it in a pan and you wanted to know all about that too. and then you said the next time he does it, can I watch. You are so silly.
One day I was watching you and Bowen and Bowen was being cranky and I said "Oh Bowie , please come sit on my lap, I don't have any little boys and I really want to have a little boy and girl," etc and you said Mimi doesn't want a little boy and she doesn't have any either. You just crack me up.
We went for a walk to bird watch and you picked up a black walnut and I had to put in a jar for you, not a bag, not plastic bowl, it had to be a jar.
We went swimming last night at one of my friends pools and it was cold after a while your teeth were chattering but you didn't want to leave.

To my darling granddaughter,
You have three ducks at your pond now and the other day I was there to see them and you made me run to go look at Popcorn, Pretzel and can't think of the other name :(. Anyhow when we got to the ducks you grabbed my hand and pulled it down to pet the ducks. Just melts my heart (and I am not talking about the ducks either, heehee)
The last time we took you to the lake house, it was very cold but boy you teased all night and the next day to go on the boat. You really love it now, you were afraid the first year we had the boat. But you stand at the front and just stare at the water. We were bundled up like winter.
I love you sweetheart and pray for you every day

Hi My Love,
You and Bowen spent the evening with Papa and I the other night and you are such a little mommy to brother Bowen, it just cracks me up. We all went to bed b/c it was getting late and I didn't know when your parents were coming and you guys were exhausted. So, in bed for two minutes and Bowie was asleep and then 10 min later he woke up and said he had to tinkle and you said "gramma he has to tinkle and he only has undies on" (instead of his pull up) Boy I didn't even think about that.
You are playing soccer now and I just love to watch your games, you are so precious.
I love you so much and it is such a joy for me to have a little girl around. xxoo
