My sweet Bryce,
You were going into high school this year and Caden goes into the middle school this year. He has been very nervous. But he had a orientation at the middle school and you were one of the counselors and you took him around and helped him tackle his fears. He feels so much better now about the middle school and he told me it’s all because of you. You were so good to all your younger cousins, and they look up to you so much and always wanna be with you.

My dear Bryce,
I love you so much. And I miss doing all our fun little things together. We used to do so many activities with Bowen and Caden and Keira. I get pictures every day from what we did on that date years ago and it does make me sad. you just had your 15th birthday and you’re such a beautiful young woman. And I couldn’t be more proud of you.
I was so devastated that you did not make the volleyball team. I seriously think it was harder on your parents and grandparents than you. I’m not sure. I was sitting beside your mother at your dad’s soccer game when you called her to tell her. My heart sunk. Aunt Staci was there also, and we were just beside ourselves. I still wake up in the middle of the night and think about you and the call to your mom and how unfair that all was. Papa watches games much better than I do, and sees different people skills, where I just watch my child or grandchild. And he said you definitely should’ve made that team. I just don’t understand it. If I could carry that pain for you, I would do it in a heartbeat. Papa was very upset by the whole thing also. I told him while he was driving back from New Jersey and he could believe it, he was absolutely convinced you would make it. When he go home he sent a text to you mom and dad and this is what it said.
Bryan and sommer, I am so sorry bryce did not make the team. I am very surprised. I am very proud of her because it takes a lot of Moxie to give up what she liked, cheerleading and dance, to try out for varsity sport.
He said more than that, but I can’t remember. These are one of life‘s hard lessons. And the people around you that love you cry with you in my heart bleeds for you.
